Sand Hollow 10/11-14/06

We went down to Sand Hollow with Erin, Josh, Cougar and Cassity. That was the first time I had met Josh. On the drive down I found out that my truck can make it to the house in St. George on one tank of gas. Exactly one tank. As we drove into town, we got off on the Blvd exit. Every gas station with diesel was on the other side of the road. We made it to the house and went in for the night. I got up early the next morning to go get gas and the truck wouldn't start. Josh had driven down, but he was still asleep. When he got up, after we met I had to bum a ride to the gas station.

After all that we made it to the lake. The water was so beautiful. You could see all the way to the bottom. It was crystal clear. The weather was great. Sunshine and gorgeous. We were finally learning to surf well. We had plenty of practice.

While we were there we ran into the Lindsay Thomas family. We saw them out on the lake and thanked them for introducing us to Sand Hollow.

Friday night there was a heavy rain and thunder storm. The lightning was impressive. One huge bolt came down right outside the living room windows. The thunder crash sounded like the house was falling down. Trisha was worried that the boat tower would act like a lightning rod. She wanted me to fold the tower down in the middle of the storm!! The storms continued through Saturday so we didn't even get out on the lake.
