We went to Starvation with Erin, Chelsea, Mom T and the Hammonds. The weather was kind of crazy. We had great sun and times of great rain. The boys learned new things. Luke learned to surf with Erin, JT boogie boarded by himself. Erin invested in a wake surf board which we all enjoyed. It's amazing how the right equipment makes all the difference in the world. We even got Carolyn to boogie board behind the boat! Of course she wore her sweet nose plugs.
I read about a redneck fat sack that we made by filling garbage bags with water and placing them in rubbermaid containers. It did the trick to make a nice surfing wake.
Jeff Hammond got up on the wakeboard and was doing great until he decided to try to ride switch. He tried to make the turn in the middle of the wake and caught his front edge. I have never seen someone hit the water like that. It didn't help that his face had a long ways to fall before hitting the water. After that he retired from wakeboarding and took up surfing.
One night we were in town at the store and saw a sign advertising the Duchesne county fair. We happened to be in town for the demolition derby. It was a lot of fun. There is something about going to the fair in a small town. We all had fun.
On the way home we blew a trailer tire and found out I wasn't carrying the right size lug wrench. Luckily we weren't too far out of town and the store was still open.
