We took Jen and Dustin and went to camp at Willard Bay. We didn't make a reservation and who knew that in the middle of July the main campground would be full? Friday night after driving up to the lake and waiting at the guard shack for awhile to tell us that we had to try the south campground we finally found a place . It was our first trip there. We really liked the lake. That was back before they worked on the dam and had to basically drain the lake.
We spent Friday night on the lake and it was glass. It is really a big lake. It has dyke's all around so you can get right up next to the walls and be protected from the wind.
Friday as we were getting ready to pull off the lake our drain ballast pump went out. We had to go back to camp with a belly full of ballast. After we got the boat back on the trailer and at camp we had to figure out what to do with the water. The solution was to disconnect the pump and let all the water drain into the bottom of the boat and then use the bilge pump and pull the plug to get it out. After a couple of laps around the camp ground the ballast was empty.
This was a fun trip because JT and Chaz tried water skiing for the first time. They both did great!! I couldn't believe how well they did.
All 3 boys wakeboarded with me that trip as well. We didn't think of trying that until the end of the trip. JT and Chaz were able to stand on the board as well started and then they held my legs as we went. Brody on the other hand didn't want to stand on the board. I had to hold him as we went. It's unbelievable how much strain that is on your body to pull 2 people out of the water on a wakeboard. The boys wanted to go more, but I physically couldn't do it.
Chaz's first try water skiing

Brody wakeboarding (kind of)
